We have heard many interesting statements about Schubert, relating not to any specific events of his creative biography, but to his personality, character, and creative attitudes in general. Therefore, we considered it appropriate to combine such documents in a special chapter "Man and Artist," which we have approximately in the middle of Schubert's biography.
