"Conquest of Egypt, al-Maghreb and al-Andalus" 'Abd al-Rahman ibn' Abd al-Hakama is one of the earliest surviving monuments of Arabic historical literature. It highlights the conquest of Egypt by the Arabs and the first decades of their rule there, as well as the conquests of North Africa and the Iberian Peninsula from there.
