Philip Johnson began his architectural career only at the age of 36, when he entered Harvard University for the second time at the Faculty of Architecture. After living 99 years, he remained a practicing architect until the end of his days and, accepting three orders at 94 at once, said: "At my age, you will not give up anything." He was an incredibly prolific architect whose work cannot be characterized by any one style or direction.
