The book sets out the tactics of military operations of small units during the Great Patriotic War using combat examples. The main focus is on coverage of issues such as assessing the situation, making an informed decision by commanders, the importance of fire, maneuver, surprise of actions and interaction between units in battle. Examples are taken from the stories of the participants in the battles, official reports and materials of the military press. The book is intended for warrant officers and officers of motorized rifle and tank units, as well as cadets of military schools.
