The MiG-17 became one of the most exported military aircraft of its time, fighters of this type were in service with the air forces of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, took part in many wars and armed conflicts. During the Vietnam War, MiG-17 fighters successfully operated against more modern American aircraft.
