The history of the appearance and use of concrete in ancient Rome since the 4th century BC is told. Information on raw materials, quality control methods and concrete properties is given. Structural features and technology of erecting such structures as a temple, multi-storey buildings, theaters, stadiums, harbors, ports, bridges, aqueducts, roads from concrete are considered.
