The book of selected works of the American Slavic philologist Henrik Baran consists of two sections. The first section contains articles on the poetics of V. Khlebnikov. They analyze some of his works, trace the origins of creative ideas and the connection of his heritage with Russian and world literature. The second section combines works devoted to various aspects of the work of F. Sologub, A. Remizov, A. Blok, A. Akhmatova and others. The works of X. Ram are distinguished by the originality of the approach, the subtlety of analysis and the innovation of the ideas put forward.
