This publication presents a collection of journalism by Nikolai Yakovlevich, published in 1890 and no longer reprinted. The political journalism of the great philosopher continues and develops the main topics of "Russia and Europe": the geopolitical future of Russia, Russia and the Slavic world, the West as the main opponent of the Russian-Slavic cultural and historical type. In addition, Danilevsky concerns the then and now extremely urgent problems of the internal life of Russia, exploring the phenomenon of Russian nihilism, and also polemicizes with the Latin addictions of Vladimir Solovyov. This publication should not only acquaint the reader with Danilevsky's previously inaccessible works, but also expand the modern idea of the thinker, whose works, according to V.V. Rozanov, "in terms of complexity, in terms of the power of developed thought," cannot be compared with any work that came out of the pen of Russian Westerners.
