The theory of convex surfaces is a section of geometry where the main results over the past 25-30 years have been obtained by Soviet geometers. The proposed monograph contains a summary of these results. It is, as it were, a continuation of the famous book by academician A. D. Alexandrov "The internal geometry of convex surfaces" (1948).
