The book was prepared back in the pre-war era by our outstanding numismatist Alexander Nikolayevich Zograf. The book consists of 2 parts, the first is devoted to general issues of ancient numismatics - the history of origin, ancient manufacturing techniques, coin systems, types of coins, systematics and dating issues. The second part is devoted to the actual scientific interests of the author - numismatics of the northern Black Sea region.
