Fedor Aleksandrovich Golovin (1867-1937), hereditary nobleman, prominent public figure, one of the founders of the cadet party, chairman of the Moscow provincial zemstvo and the II State Duma. Shot for "anti-Soviet activity," rehabilitated in 1989. His memoirs, written in the last years of his life, are published for the first time. They consist of three chronologically continuing manuscripts.
