Viktor Vasilievich Grishin - a major Soviet politician. In 1952-1986 he was a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU: in October 1964, it was he who prepared the text of the statement of I.S. Khrushchev on retirement, which Khrushchev signed. In June 1967, V.V. Grishin was elected first secretary of the Moscow City Committee of the CPSU, and in 1971-1986. he was a member of the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee. After the death of K.U. Chernenko, Grishin was considered the most likely candidate for the post of General Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee, but was removed by M. Gorbachev from power and deprived of all his posts. V.V. Grishin died on May 25, 1992 in the district council, where he came to draw up a pension.
