Articles of the collection dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Russian scientist-Turkologist S.G. Klyashtorny (1928-2014) cover the range of scientific problems that the scientist studied. The first section of the collection publishes memoirs about the life and work of S.G. Klashtornogo. The second section, entitled "Ancient Turks and their Neighbors," includes publications on the history of the ancient Turks (Kypchaks, Oguzes, Uyghurs) and other nomads in the Middle Ages.
