The book sets out the history of the city from its foundation in 1860 to the present day. All the main events that took place during this time in the city are reflected. Much attention is paid to a retrospective analysis of the development of urban infrastructure, industry, housing and civil construction, various forms of cultural leisure for citizens. The book uses materials from 12 collections of three archives, publications from the local periodical press, gives links to monographs and articles by historians who wrote about Vladivostok. Illustrations are selected from the State Archive of the Primorsky Territory and private collections. The book is intended for specialists and a wide range of readers.
