The book is devoted to the history of military affairs and the corresponding aspects of spiritual and material culture in the Swiss lands of the late Middle Ages. Based on the data of various sources and attracting a significant amount of special literature, the authors presented a fascinating picture of the formation of Swiss military traditions against the background of the socio-political development of the Confederation in the late XIII - early XVI centuries.
