In the monograph, on the basis of a solid source base, the process of socio-political transformation of the society localized by the borders of the Tomsk province from March 1917 to November 1918, socio-cultural conditions for the existence and development of socio-political movements are characterized, the process of creation and functioning of local self-government bodies is shown in dynamics, councils, departments of political parties, public organizations, the degree of influence of various socio-political forces on changes in the socio-economic and socio-cultural spheres of the region's life has been determined, psychomental features of the main social groups of the population of the province were revealed and the reasons for the change of their political sympathies and motivations were analyzed.
