"Combat Pencil" is a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings in the middle of the 20th century. This is often called the very phenomenon of mass art. The first posters appeared in the winter of 1939-1940, during the Soviet-Finnish war. Then their release was discontinued and resumed in June 1941. In 1941-1945, the posters of the "Combat Pencil" became important military-patriotic propaganda material and gained immense popularity.
