M. Olson's book "The Logic of Collective Action" is widely known in many countries of the world. It has gone through 15 editions in the United States and has been translated into several languages. In his work, Dr. Olson, developing the foundations of the economic theory of public goods, reveals the nature of such a phenomenon as lobbying, and also analyzes the causes of the emergence of the state, political parties and trade unions.
