Many new examples and exercises have been added in this edition. Volume 1 now contains over 300 exercises. If the reader, having worked them, feels the need for further training, he can turn to solving problems from my collection, after which he will be able to set himself tasks. The list of references at the end of the volume contains only those works that are referenced in the text of the book. Further bibliography will be provided in volumes 2 and 3.
