The term "guerrilla warfare" is associated primarily with the pro-communist trend of the resistance movement. However, there was another resistance movement, which consisted of detachments of nationalists and supporters of the constitutional order. These detachments hated the Communists hardly less than the Nazis and in some areas there was a difficult war involving three sides. Nationalists fought either with the invaders or with the Communists.
