Mikhail Viktorovich Panov - Russian linguist, phonetist. Panov's book "Russian Phonetics" (1967) became a real encyclopedia of a whole field of linguistic knowledge of the second half of the 20th century. Two tasks - to acquaint students with Russian phonetics and teach them linguistically, that is, systemically, to think - were also solved by the lectures that Panov gave at Moscow State University.
