This book is devoted to a topical, but still insufficiently fully covered problem regarding eye diseases occurring in the form of corneal conjunctival xerosis. It provides up-to-date information on the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of the pathology in question, and its classification developed by the authors is also presented. The most accessible methods for studying tear production and tear film stability, which underlie the diagnosis of dry eye syndrome, are described in detail.
