The third edition of the book, significantly revised and supplemented (the second edition was published in 1970 and was met with interest by experts), shows the further development of the theory of water-jet propulsion. The main attention is paid to the hydrodynamic theory of paddle systems of water-jet propulsors, the integral relations determining the operation of water-jet propulsors in the system with the ship's hull are considered.
