On the wall of the oldest and most famous oceanographic museum in Monaco are inscribed the names of ships with which the largest oceanographic discoveries in the history of mankind are associated. And this list has the word "Vitiaz." Makarov immortalized the ship he commanded, and thereby once again confirmed the immutable law - every ship is as good as the people who sail on it. At the same time, it should be noted that the Vityaz had a brother - the cruiser Rynda of the same type with him. He lived a long life, but during his service he did not show anything noticeable and therefore is little known to lovers of naval history.
