This collection includes the works of the famous Yakut ethnographer and folklorist G.V. Ksenofontov, dedicated to the shamanism of the Yakuts and other peoples of Siberia, published in the late 1920s. After the repressions of the 30s, his name disappeared for a long time from the historiography of Siberia. It disappeared, but was not forgotten - the contribution of G.V. Ksenofontov to the study of historical, ethnographic and folklore problems that reveal the identity of the cultures of the peoples of the North is difficult to overestimate.
