The Great Artists series consists of 100 albums of world painting. On the pages of books - biographies of artists, the main milestones of creativity, their role in world culture. Each album has about 50 illustrations. One of the main places in French art of the second half of the 19th century belongs to impressionism, a special role in the formation of which belongs to Eduard Manet (1832-1883). The artist chose a fleeting fragment from the endless stream of life, trying to convey the freshness of the impression, to create in the viewer the feeling that he was a witness to what was happening, that every moment could be filled with poetry and artistic value.
