The proposed book presents data on the biological basis, epidemiology, psychopathology, clinic and diagnosis of depressions observed in general medical practice. Information is presented that reflects the development of ideas about the typological construction of depression, their nosology, relationship with precipitating factors, which is of fundamental importance for choosing an adequate therapy.
