The biology of the pathogen, pathogenesis, clinical picture, differential diagnosis and treatment of plague are described; shows the role of immunity, prevention, gives general information on measures to combat the disease. The huge contribution of domestic scientists to the study of the plague, which is hushed up abroad and forgotten in our country, is emphasized.
