Entertain and amuse a child who is beginning to read with a story about the fun adventures and innocent pranks of fabulous little forest men and, along the way, acquaint him with the sights of different countries and the life of peoples, in general, with what is being done in the white world - this is the purpose of this book. The main place in the book is given to a small goldfinch - Frant Murzilka. But then there are other baby elves: Dr. Maz-Peremaz, Znayka, Dunno, etc. The first part of the book introduces the young reader into the society of extraordinary tiny travelers, into the circle of their games and fun, in the second - next to the story of the numerous adventures of forest men - brief information is given about everything that occurs on their way, and the story is conducted on behalf of one of the little men. This information is presented in such a brief and accessible form that, without tiring the child, nevertheless expands his mental horizons. The text is supplemented with drawings.
