Study of errors and shortcomings in the design of cylinder-piston groups of internal combustion engines, as well as ways to eliminate them. Processes of influence of gas dynamics on operation of sealing piston devices, hydrodynamics - on operation of oil scrapers and thermodynamics - on thermal changes of shape and dimensions of cylinder and piston are considered.
