Fundamental work in a special part of cybernetics - homeostatics. In a broad sense, this is the science of harmony in natural and artificial integrity: in people, society, medicine, biology, ecology, consciousness, technology. In a narrow sense, this is the area of ​ ​ questions about the methods and forms of maintaining and destroying homeostasis - the mobile constancy of processes, functions, trajectories of development of objects of various natures. The work summarizes more than twenty years of results in the development of homeostatics and covers the fruits of the most ancient (3,500 years ago) and modern reflections on harmony and disharmony in the game of contradictions.
