Correspondence with Franz Brentano and representatives of the "Brentano school" (i.e. students of Brentano, including Husserl himself) makes up the first volume of the ten-volume edition of Husserl's correspondence. In addition to correspondence with Brentano himself, which was conducted - judging by the surviving letters - from 1886 to 1916 and includes 34 letters (taking into account unsent sketches). This includes correspondence with Alois Höfler (conducted in 1893-1901, includes 4 letters), Anton Marty (conducted in 1887-1911, includes 15 letters), Thomas Masaryk (conducted in 1877-1935, includes 15 letters), Alexius Mainong (conducted in 1891-1904, includes 17 letters), Walter Schmid-Kowarzik (one letter to Husserl in 1931), Karl Stumpf (conducted in 1890-1919, includes 5 letters), Casimir Tvardovsky (two letters in 1928) and Emil Utitz (conducted in 1930-1932, includes 3 letters).
