The book offered to the reader's attention is an experience of analyzing the practical, economic, social and cultural-psychological aspects of European and world history between the two wars (1918-1939), during the Second World War and, in part, after its end. Objective and subjective reasons for the emergence, formation and strengthening of authoritarian regimes of various kinds in Europe and beyond are considered.
