The publication includes three documentary stories of the famous Russian historian of the second half of the XIX century. M.I. Semevsky, dedicated to the turbulent era of the Petrine transformations. Based on unique historical evidence, the author recreates the history of the secret service of Peter the Great - a political investigation, the victims of which were thousands and thousands of Russians - from commoner to queen and tsarevich.
