Participants in the RYA Cruising scheme range from young trainees on Tall Ships, skippers learning the intricacies of sailing a 26 foot bilge keeler in shoal water to a new owner learnng to berth a motorboat. Instructors must have a multitude of skills which have to be adapted to the type of vessel.
