Readers are offered a new type of dictionary of the Russian language. This dictionary is, as it were, a "bridge" between etymological and word-forming dictionaries. It contains about 64 thousand words combined into root groups (slightly more than 2.300 groups), which in turn boil down to common related roots (a total of 800 roots). Here is the first experience of compiling a dictionary of this type.
