In July 1943, the attention of mankind, as in the previous two years of the war, was riveted on the Soviet-German front. Here, in one of its sections, in the area of ​ ​ the Kursk ledge, fierce battles unfolded in which the Soviet people, their Armed Forces under the leadership of the Communist Party achieved an outstanding historical victory, which determined the further course and outcome of World War II in favor of the anti-Hitler coalition.
