All Western military-historical sources are unanimous in assessing the influence that the example of the airborne units of the Red Army had on the creation of parachute troops in Germany. The famous maneuvers of the Red Army of 1935 and 36, which were attended by German military observers (including Hermann Goering), made a great impression with massive air drops.
