In our country there is no person who would not know who Lev Yashin is. His name went beyond sports. He is a legend forever inscribed in the book of memory of outstanding people of the Fatherland. Slava Yashina has been flying over the world for more than half a century. The famous French striker Just Fontaine, the best goalscorer of all world championships, said: "A striker who has scored Yashina at least once can write about it on his business card, and this will be enough to be proud of all his life." I recall a joke of a distant era at the beginning of the Cold War: "We are not afraid of the British Lion when Leva Yashin is at the gate," which appeared before the historic match with the British at the 1958 World Cup. Then the founders of football were beaten largely thanks to Yashin's game.
