In this book, its author, an outstanding French social thinker, publicist, anarchist theorist Pierre Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865), consistently contrasts parliamentary-state policy and bureaucratic decisions with the interests of the working people, which no one except the working people themselves can defend and represent. According to the idea set forth by the author, the state and capitalism should collapse and be, if possible peacefully, replaced by a society of cooperation and federalism based on bottom-up delegation and imperative mandates, and the values ​ ​ of dominance and profit should be replaced by solidarity, mutual assistance, freedom, equality and justice.
