Philosophy in the history of Christianity appears only when some Christians have taken a certain position regarding it: they began to either stigmatize it, or try to include it in a new religion, or use it for Christian apologetics. From this point on, the term "philosophy" takes on the meaning of "pagan wisdom," which it will retain for centuries. Even in the XII-XIII centuries, the words "philosophi" and "sancti" reflect a direct contrast between two worldviews: developed by people deprived of the light of faith, and developed by the Church Fathers who speak in the name of Christian Revelation.
