D.E. Arkin's monograph (1899-1957) on the architecture and urban planning of Paris consists of two parts: a brief overview of the architectural and planning development of Paris and its ensembles from the Middle Ages to 1937 and a selection of photographs and drawings characterizing the most typical ensembles and individual architectural monuments of various eras.
