The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the historical successor of the Russian Empire, being in the 1920s and 1930s in conditions of international isolation, managed to successfully solve the foreign policy tasks facing it, won the Second World War, and became rightfully one of the leading world powers of the 20th century. This study considers the holistic system of views underlying the foreign policy doctrine of I.V. Stalin.
