The book describes the battleship "Twelve Apostles." This is the Russian barbet battleship of the Russian imperial fleet, which was part of the Black Sea Fleet. The laying of the ship took place in February 1888 in the city of Nikolaev, the launch was carried out on September 1, 1890. He did not participate in military campaigns, but was twice used in tests that were of great importance for the entire Russian fleet.
