In 1993 A.T. Pomenko and G.V. Nosovsky first expressed and substantiated the idea that the famous Kulikovo battle took place not at all in the upper Don on the border of the Tula and Lipetsk regions, as is commonly believed, but on the site of the current city of Moscow. The battlefield was located near the current Moscow Kremlin and is still called "Kulishki." Since 1993, there has been a lot of new data to support this discovery. Some of them were discovered by the authors themselves, some by their readers. Today there is almost no doubt that the Battle of Kulikovo really took place in Moscow.
