This publication is the first full course of the Amharic language in Russian Amharism for the 2nd year of study in non-linguistic higher educational institutions. The textbook consists of 18 lessons, each of which is designed for 20 hours of classroom and up to 30 hours of homework, contains an appendix in which additional vocabulary is given on some topics, almost not reflected either in Russian-Amharic or Amharic-Russian dictionaries. In addition, at the end of the textbook there is a dictionary that includes all the vocabulary that is available in the textbook.
