The proposed material mechanics course summarizes many years of experience in teaching the discipline at the Department of Structural Mechanics of the Kharkov National Automobile and Road Technical University (HADI). The presence of several engineering specialties at the university obliges to disclose in the book a wide range of issues of material mechanics.
