In this textbook, the material is presented taking into account the fact that its readers are mainly first-year students. These are yesterday's schoolchildren, as a rule, who did not pass the entrance exam in chemistry. Moreover, most of them studied in physics and mathematics classes, where chemistry does not belong to the "main subjects." That is why the textbook begins with a brief compendium containing the material of the school chemistry course.
