The basic principles of constructing consumer power supply schemes taking into account modern approaches are considered. Methods of calculation of electrical loads and selection of electrical equipment, issues of ensuring electrical safety, reliability of power supply, quality of electrical energy are covered. Diagrams and layouts of substations and in-plant electrical networks are presented. Basic provisions on calculation of short-circuit currents, self-starting of electric motors, compensation of reactive power are given. The issues of organization of power consumption, energy saving and contractual relations of electricity consumers with energy supplying organizations are considered.
