Stalin's daughter Svetlana wrote in her book: "My father fell in love with Russia very much and deeply for life. I don't know a single Georgian who has forgotten his national traits and loved everything Russian so much." Stalin gave every citizen of the USSR a sense of legitimate pride in his country, for Russia, a sense of personal participation in the Great Victory and the construction of the Great Power. It is not surprising that Stalin's personality cult after the war acquired a character close to deification. The people loved him and the enemy was afraid. Our enemies are still afraid of Stalin - and as long as the strength of his spirit lives in each of us, as long as we feel pride in our past and believe in ourselves, we are invincible."
